Two main problems are pestering the voluntary carbon markets:
– The methodology used for issuance of avoided deforestation credits (ADC) leads to over estimation of the deforestation risk and therefore creates credits that are worth virtually nothing
– The traceability of funds where the transparency on their use is close to the value of the above mentioned credits.
